  • Most people are honest…but not all so its vital to always be on your guard when buying something, which in most people cases is the second most expensive thing, you own.

  • Someone selling a car 1-3 months after buying it (and its on finance), this is a scam, which has increased over the last 3 years but easy to spot. Any time there is finance on a car, we always pay the finance company directly so the buyer isn’t left holding the bag as it were. If the seller backs away form this standard request, we know what he was doing, we also alert the finance company of the potential fraud.
  • Providing an area for the car to be inspected and not the address where the owner lives is always an eyebrow raiser
  • A filthy car is an obvious one where someone is trying to hide damage or poorly done paintwork - in these cases, we insist the car is washed before the inspection takes places.
